Telangana Family Digital Card: Telangana government is preparing to issue family digital cards to every household in the state. This single card will provide benefit of medical care services, ration and other welfare schemes. On Monday 23 September 2024, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that a single digital card will replace multiple cards currently required for various government schemes.
The CM reviewed the one state one digital card initiative with senior officials of the states medical, health and civil supplies department. Reddy pilot project to issue family digital cards. The family digital card will also contain the health profile of each family member, which will be helpful in providing medical services to them in future.

Objective of Telangana family Digital Card
The Telangana family digital card combines several services into a single, multipurpose card to streamline and simplify access to a number of government services and welfare programs. The program aims to enhance convenience for residents, reduce the hassle of holding multiple cards and improve efficiency. A single digital card will replace the multiple cards currently required for programs such as ration distribution, healthcare and other welfare benefits. It will act as a single point of contact for a number of services.
Important Update– ‘Family Digital Card’ to Have a Woman as the Head
The pilot project on Telangana’s’One State One Card’ policy, was launched by Chief Minister a Revanth Reddy on Thursday. Families across the state will be identified in this exercise. The exercise, being carried out in all 190 constituencies (1 village and 1 municipality ward), will be later implemented across the state. The family digital card will have a woman as the head of the family (HoF).
The main goal of this exercise is to correctly identify the family and establish the integrity of the family as a unit. All families will be provided with family IDs respective of their economic status. Similarly, each person in the family will be provided with a unique personal ID. The family digital cards will help people to avail welfare schemes.
