Namo Shetkari Yojana 6th Installment 2024
Namo Shetkari Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2023, provides additional financial support to farmers in Maharashtra. Under the scheme, eligible farmer families will get Rs 6000 per year distributed in three equal installments along with the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, taking the total assistance for small and marginal farmers to Rs 12000 per year.
The scheme aims two strengthen the economic stability of farmers by helping them manage agriculture expenses and deal with challenges such as fluctuating markets and rising input costs. A government resolution issued on 11 June 2023, formalized the scheme, injuring that funds are transferred directly to farmers bank accounts through the direct benefit transfer (DBT) system. On 5 October 2024, an additional Rs 2000 crore was announced to further benefit the farmers of the state under the fifth installment of the scheme.

Objective Namo Shetkari Yojana
Namo Shetkari Yojana was launched by the Maharashtra state government with the main objective of providing financial stability to the poor farmers of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6000 per year is provided to them to help them achieve their goals, which helps them stop depending on others for financial support and become self reliant.
