Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has launched the mukhymantri aatmnirbhar asam abhiyan (CMAAA) to support unemployed youths by providing them financial assistance to set up their own business units. The scheme aims to create self and employment opportunities and promote entrepreneurship in the state. Under the scheme, each selected beneficiary will receive a total of Rs 2 lakh, including Rs 1 lakh as subsidy and Rs 1 lakh as interest free loan for a period of five years.
The initiative provides a comprehensive support system including skill development programmes, financial ad and guidance to help youth, the scheme aims to boost economic growth and reduce unemployment, empowering the youth of Assam to move forward in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Objective of Atmanirbhar Asam List
The main objective of launching Atmnirbhar Asam List is to provide self employment opportunities to the youth of the state of Assam. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the youth of the state to set up their own business units.
