eShram 2.0 Portal Registration: Union labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday said the second version of the eshram portal will be launched on Monday next week, which will include new features such as eligibility criteria for various welfare schemes. Speaking to reporters, the Minister said the ashram hotel will also allow job aggregators to enroll their workers on the portal, which has been created to maintain a national database of unorganized sector workers. He also informed that registered workers will be able to check their eligibility for various welfare schemes on the portal.
eShram 2.0 Portal Registration
The ministry of labour and employment launched the eShram portal on August 26 2021 to create a comprehensive National database of unorganized workers, verified and linked with Aadhar. The eShram portal aims to register and assist unorganized workers by providing them a universal account number.
It records details of workers such as name, permanent address, current address, occupation, educational qualification, skill type etc. The eShram model allows registration under 30 broad business is sectors and amount 400 occupations.
It offers multiple modes of registration to facilitate a smooth process, including self and assisted registration. Self registration includes registration through the eShram portal and Unified mobile application for new age governance (UMANG) mobile app.
Assisted registration includes registration through common service centers and state service centre. As of today, more than 30 crore unorganized workers have registered on the eShram portal.

Benefits of eShram card
- Pension of Rs 300 per month after attaining the age of 60 years.
- Death Insurance of Rs 2lakh and financial assistance of Rs 1lakh in case of partial disability of the worker.
- If the beneficiary (unorganized in sector worker with is shram card) dies due to an accident, his/Har spouse will get all the benefits.
- Beneficiaries will get a 12 digit UAN number valid all over India.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any individual employed in the informal sector or any unstructured worker.
- Employees must be between 16 and 59 years old.
- Employees must have a working cell phone number connected to their Aadhar.
- Income tax should not be imposed on employees.

eShram 2.0 Portal Registration
- First of all, you visit the eShram Portal.
- Now the homepage will open on the portal.
- On the portal you enter the Aadhar link mobile number and captcha code and click on the send OTP button.
- Enter your Aadhaar number click the terms and conditions and enter the OTP sent to the mobile number.
- Click on the validate button.
- Confirm the personal details that appear on the screen.
- Enter the required details, such as address, educational qualifications etc.
- Select the skill name, nature of business and the type of work.
- Enter the bank details and select the self declaration.
- Click on the preview option to verify the details entered and click on the submit button.
- An OTP will be sent to the mobile number.
- Now Enter the OTP and click on the verify button.
- The eShram card is generated and displayed on the screen.
- The eShram card can also be downloaded by clicking on the download option.
How to Download eShram Card?
- First of all, you visit the eShram portal.
- Click on the already registered tab and select the update profile using UAN option.
- Enter the UAN number, date of birth, captcha code and click on the generate OTP button.
- Enter the OTP received on the mobile number and click on the validate button.
- Confirm the personal details that appear on the screen.
- Click on the preview option to verify the details entered and click on the submit button.
- An OTP will be send to the mobile number.
- Now enter the OTP and click on the verify button.
- The eShram card is generated and displayed on the screen.
- The eShram card can also be downloaded by clicking on the download option.
